Some people may think that a brick house has an old image. That’s why nowadays we can rarely see the use of brick left unpainted for houses. Even though there are some houses that use of brick still with the original color and motives, usually they are combined with other materials, for example wood. However, JLM Architecture Limited tries to keep the use of only brick for the exterior of the house.

From the new build home St. Albans, you can see the simple brick house exterior. Outside, the brick wall left unpainted combined with dark grey roof and windows with white frames. In the top part of the roof, you can also see a small statue with brick color that gives a unique image to the house. Like the house in Harpenden, there is a small deck that goes to the grass-covered backyard. The living room also has outward glass wall and glass roof. From the outside you can see two white daybeds placed in the living room to watch the yard and also a painting as a decoration.

Behind the daybeds, there is a dining table with black chairs for six persons. Beside the table, there is a small wooden shelf used to place the books. The kitchen also placed not far from the dining room with a wooden island. The kitchen uses white cabinetries and wooden tops. The bathroom uses a large white bathtub that combined with granite flooring and also floral patterned curtains. A chandelier is used to brighten the bathroom.

This house uses wooden stairs with wooden flooring. There is another chandelier near the stairs, however, at noon; the stairs can be brightening with natural light that comes from the windows. For the decoration, there are many paintings used here, where most of them are abstracts painting with bright colors. For example, there is a painting of three stones above the stove. Though it can beautify the brick house interior, maybe the heat from the stove can ruin the painting.
